This large full refurbishment and extension of Victorian terrace house was done in stages,  as owners decided to occupy the house during building works with only short brakes for holiday when necessary.

As a  first stage we did a remodelling of first floor bathroom and bedrooms .Large walk in shower was added to family bathroom and great new bath added, plumbing was made “future proof”by moving boiler and tank to attic saving space in new kitchen/dining room. When 1st and 2nd  floor refurbishment was done , owners moved to top floors and we started works on ground floor.

This time works included side kitchen extension, rear garden modelling , front elevation was fully refurbished , and front garden refreshed with new Victorian tiled paving and new cast iron fencing, new fitted kitchen to match with Bulthaup was done by our joiners ( for fraction of price but at same or better quality) , beautiful and expensive walnut units  interiors adding up  to a great look of this kitchen.

This refurbishment was done on design and built basis from start to finish.

This stylish loft conversion was designed & created by our fantastic team here at Ajax Builders.

It involved a unique design that featured large bi fold doors, a bathroom over rear, built in carpentry and wooden floors on hush acoustic underlay. We also made 2 new bathrooms on the 1st floor by remodelling existing space with an updated heating and hot water system.  To add some mystery, the doors to the bathroom look like wardrobe doors, and the bathroom has hidden in wall custom-built mirror cabinets.

L-shape loft conversion which is known to be one of the biggest loft conversion hat can be done under Permitted Development. Thanks to the additional skylights and large Velux windows, the loft is now a bright and airy space, which the owners can enjoy throughout the year.

Flat remodelling

Our clients bought this 2 bedroom ex council flat as a rental property in St Johns wood.

We had expertise in flat conversions in the same Estate. So to increase potential rental income and value of the of property (which needed refurbishment anyway), Ajax Builders applied for approval to convert this flat in to 3bedroom, 2 bathroom flat!

Owners are really busy and operating from abroad so we got a budget and free hand to complete the project. And we delivered as promised!

We have relocated kitchen which now is open plan, created separate en-suite shower room, relocated bedroom. New heating, flat was fully rewired and some led lights installed, main bathroom extended and we manage to fit in additional shower cubical. New wooden floors, some new fitted wardrobes, and full decoration. All interior design plans have been done in-house by AJAX architects

Project took us only about 9 weeks and every stage has been checked with council and freeholders inspectors.

With cleaver design and our ” know how” , we have not only refurbished it,  but with just layout change we achieved something which added great value ££££!

This project photos shows a grade II listed building in Hampstead/Belsize Park London NW3, where structural alternations allowed us to change the layout of a lower ground floor flat. A large number of structural steels were used to achieve our client’s goal for an open plan kitchen- something that suited her modern life style.

Due to there being 5 floors above, it required our expertise and attention to detail to ensure everything ran smoothly with minimal disruption. Our director who is also a structural engineer made sure all structural works were safely executed.

Works also included custom built classic solid wood kitchen, two new bathrooms, electrical rewiring and new French doors at the rear. We have also changed the staircase and allowed for some modern book shelving which complimented the entire refurbishment.

The beauty of this project was that it allowed us to show off just how much of the building process we can help with. During this project we obtained planning permission from local authority and also took care of the listed building details throughout the construction process.
